More About 1894 C1 Tina of Melbourne

We received this great image (and the one at bottom) from the new owner of Tina of Melbourne. He seems to have pinched the image above out of a book about the Sydney-Hobart Race. They say a picture is worth a thousand words and I cant argue looking at this image. The owner was kind enough to send some further information about the boat:

She was built in Melbourne, Australia. She was originally built for Barry Scott (son of Ernie) who did great things offshore with her including 2 podium finishes in the Sydney - Hobart, one ton class. She has called Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron home since being launched.

She is heading for the shed in the near future for a total refit. Following that, I hope to have her entered for the 2012 Sydney to Hobart and the 2013 Fastnet race. Again, thank you kindly for your efforts with the blog...
